  • Automatic Email with Challan Copy: The department informed PAN holders that an email would be issued to them automatically following successful payment. There would be no need for additional downloads because a copy of the challan would be attached to this email. For PAN holders, the process will be made simpler with this simplified method, which will also guarantee a smooth transaction.
  • Regarding Pending Cases: The Income Tax Department recognised that some cases may have successfully completed the fee payment and approval for connecting PAN with Aadhaar but failed to finish the linking process before the June 30, 2023 deadline. The department made it clear that these situations will be properly considered, though. This suggests that people who have met the relevant payment and consent conditions and have missed the deadline can still have their PAN-Aadhaar linkage done.
