Project Report For

Introduction

Project report for Solar Seed Sprayer is as follows.

Spraying agricultural chemicals (herbicides, pesticides, and so on) on crops is a vital field activity for protecting them against various insects, pests, and illnesses.

Agricultural crops are traditionally sprayed with knapsack sprayers. With the addition of diesel-powered pumps, the hand-operated knapsack sprayer has recently been updated to a power-operated sprayer.

A solar PV-powered sprayer was devised and produced in this study. The proposed solar PV sprayer is capable of operating in both direct and indirect modes.

The sprayer was operated in direct mode with electricity generated by 100 Wp polycrystalline PV modules mounted on the sprayer, and in indirect mode with electricity generated by 100 Wp polycrystalline PV modules mounted on the sprayer.

Battery mode was used, with electric energy stored in a deep cycle battery (12 V, 32 Ah).

A DC motor pump rated at 60 W was utilised in both modes to create the requisite operating pressure for spraying liquid pesticide formulations.

The brass nozzle, which requires an operating pressure of roughly 1.5-2 kg cm2 to generate a discharge of 900 cm3 min1 and is the best suited for spraying among the various types of nozzles available on the market, was utilised in the study.

The sprayer’s liquid tank was meant to hold 50 litres of liquid for two hours of continuous operation with two nozzles.

Solar radiation measurements from the Jodhpur station revealed that the sprayer is capable of It is preferable to operate between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The proposed solar PV sprayer on such a manually drawn vehicle was tested in the field and proved to be adequate for spraying insecticide in various dry crops.

In the Indian farming landscape, the created sprayer could be a godsend to farmers, especially in areas where solar energy is abundant.

Market Potential Of Solar Seed Sprayer

The global solar farm market generated $61.4 billion in 2019 and is predicted to produce $261.0 billion by 2027, as per a report published by Research, with a CAGR of 19.8% from 2020 to 2027.

The report examines volatile market dynamics, major segments, significant investment pockets, global market, value chain, and regional scenario in great depth.

Government policies that encourage the use of photovoltaic technology are propelling the global solar farm market forward. However, the market’s expansion is stifled by the high cost of installation.

The surge in demand for renewable energy, on the other hand, will open up new prospects in the future years.

The utility-scale segment accounted for almost half of the total market share in 2019 and is expected to continue to lead throughout the forecast period.

However, from 2020 to 2027, the dispersed generating segment is predicted to grow at the fastest rate of 20.3 per cent.

In terms of end-use industries, the commercial segment provided the most market share in 2019, accounting for around three-fifths of the worldwide solar farm market, and is expected to maintain its lead position by 2027.

Furthermore, from 2020 to 2027, this segment is predicted to grow at the fastest rate of 20.3 per cent.
