Project Report For Rural Tourism

Introduction

Project report for rural tourism is as follows.

Rural tourism is defined as โ€œa sort of tourism activity in which the visitorโ€™s experience is related to a diverse variety of items often associated with nature-based activities, agriculture, rural lifestyle/culture, angling, and sightseeing.โ€

Rural tourism offers both real and intangible benefits relating to the environment, culture, food, and terrain. It is a good strategy and journey to comprehend the communityโ€™s behavior and cultural surroundings. Agro-rural tourism recognizes and adds value to cultural and architectural heritage.

Market Trend

The following factors contribute to the market potential for rural tourism.

  1. There is an increase in urbanization. Many city inhabitants are cut off from rural life. Given the perception of the simplicity and purity of country life, city inhabitants are interested in rural tourism experiences.

 2. Vacation experiences based on traditional hotel stays have become routine, and holidaymakers want variety.  Rural tourism is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative.

 3. Rural tourism provides benefits such as stress relief and organic food and beverages. It is critical to dispel the popular belief that rural tourism suffers from poor hygiene and sanitation. Similarly, it is critical to reassure customers about their safety.

The importance of rural tourism has been recognized by both private enterprises and the government of India. The Indian government has funded 153 rural tourism projects. UNDP is aiding 36 rural localities in developing capacity for rural tourism.

The Government of India provides financial assistance to rural tourism initiatives for purposes such as village enhancement, road development, solid waste management, provision of adventure/sports equipment, signage, reception, monument repair, and accommodation.

However, because the support is directed through a state-level official tourism organization, private entrepreneurs must coordinate with such an entity.
